97 Reasons Democrats Are Weak On Defense

97 Reasons Democrats Are Weak On Defense And Can’t Be Trusted To Govern In Wartime

INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted 9/29/2006

Today’s Democrats are nothing like Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy, who with courage and decisive action kept on top of their jobs and aggressively confronted one national defense crisis after another.

Jimmy Carter, elected during the Cold War with the Soviet Union, and (1) believing Americans had an inordinate fear of communism, (2) lifted U.S. citizens’ travel bans to Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia and (3) pardoned draft evaders.

President Carter (4) also stopped B-1 bomber production, (5) gave away our strategically located Panama Canal and (6) made human rights the central focus of his foreign policy.

That led Carter, a Democrat, (7) to make a monumental miscalculation and withdraw U.S. support for our long-standing Mideast military ally, the Shah of Iran. (8) Carter simply didn’t like the Shah’s alleged mistreatment of imprisoned Soviet spies.

The Soviets, (9) with close military ties to Iraq, a 1,500-mile border with Iran and eyes on Afghanistan, aggressively tried to encircle, infiltrate, subvert and overthrow Iran’s government for its oil deposits and warm-water ports several times after Russian troops attempted to stay there at the end of WWII. These were all communist threats to Iran that Carter never understood.

No Longer A Christian Nation

Author: Unknown

As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. ..”We are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists . . .”

As with so many other statements I’ve heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I’d see the day that I’d hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation.

To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation – and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be.

I hope that each of you will do what I’m doing now – send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list. With God’s help and He is still in control of this nation and all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!

How To Catch Wild Pigs

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.

He asked, “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.

Drill Here Drill Now

Nearly a decade after he died in 2000, the U.S. govt. in 2008 tells us…

Dr. Price Was Right

25,000 square miles of Montana and North Dakota (parts of Canada, too) are holding 503 billion barrels of light crude oil.

• NEW USA OIL DISCOVERY IS A SHOCKING RECORD BREAKER
• 5 times more oil than the massive Ghawan field in Saudi Arabia
• 64 times more oil than Alberta’s Pembina discovery
• 235 TIMES MORE OIL THAN USA’S ENTIRE RESERVE

The above statements are true. The Democrats say that we cannot drill our way out of this crisis. They also say that any steps now in drilling will not see results for ten years… the same thing they said nine years ago! Truth is we can and we must! With the fields mentioned above and off shore fields recently discovered, we can become self sustaining as well as provide cheap oil to the free world. Oil shale fields in Montana and vicinity alone are estimated at some 300 years worth.

As far as having an immediate impact on the price of oil now, the Democrats are again wrong. Just the fact that Americans are now demanding (over 70%) we drill here drill now has seen a large drop in the price of oil. It’s called speculation.

Another consideration is the vast amount of jobs that will be created by drilling in and around the USA. It is estimated that more than half a million skilled and unskilled jobs would be created with the drill here drill now plan. Just imagine the impact that would have on our now rising unemployment numbers!

OBAMA’S TROUBLING INTERNET FUND RAISING

Certainly the most interesting and potentially devastating phone call I have received during this election cycle came this week from one of the Obama s campaign internet geeks. These are the staffers who devised Obama s internet fund raising campaign which raised in the neighborhood of $200 million so far. That is more than twice the total funds raised by any candidate in history and this was all from the internet campaign.

What I learned from this insider was shocking but I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that when it comes to fund raising there simply are no rules that can t be broken and no ethics that prevail.

Obama s internet campaign started out innocently enough with basic e-mail networking , lists saved from previous party campaigns and from supporters who visited any of the Obama campaign web sites.

Small contributions came in from these sources and the internet campaign staff were more than pleased by the results.

Obama Explains National Anthem Stance

On Sat, 22 Mar 2008 18:48:04 -0400, ‘LT. Bill Ginn’ USAF ret forwarded:

Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171…… During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.

‘As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides,’Obama said. ‘There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.’ If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.’

Obama… From His Own Mouth

This possible President of the United States??

Read Below and ask yourselves, is this REALLY someone we can see as the President of our great nation!!!!

Below are a few lines from Obama’s books; In his words

From Dreams of My Father: ‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’

From Dreams of My Father : ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’

And FINALLY the Most Damming one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’
