The Divine Hand

Before I begin this article I feel I should divulge my credentials for making such statements. My credentials are that I have no credentials. I have no degree in any field. I did not do well at all in any subject in school. In fact, I dropped out of school at the beginning of my junior year. No subject inspired me, nor did any teacher. My mind was elsewhere. I did not even know where “elsewhere” was. Nor was I a good Christian. My mother (I had no father) literally shoved the church down my throat. We attended church religiously twice on Sunday and every Wednesday. I attended Vacation Bible School every year at the demands of my mother. My four sisters (I did have five) will be very angry with me for this, but I was baptized because it was expected of me. I cared not why, and the last thing was because I wanted to be a good Christian, After I dropped out of high school and joined the military, I stopped going to church. Even today, after many decades, I very rarely attend church. These are my credentials, A high school dropout and a very poor Christian.

In my first article I stated that I am good at observing people. As I delve back into history, both political and religious, I begin to notice many unexplained events that have no logical reason (in my mind). As I always do, I question “WHY”? These are my conclusions.

Socialism & the Liberal Democratic Society

The American Heritage Dictionary defines Socialism as:

1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

Does this look familiar? Consider the philosophies and doctrines of the modern Democratic Party. Also look back in their history. Do you see an obvious similarity? How do you feel about sharing the wealth of society or, moreover, the government determining how much of your hard earned money you are allowed to keep? How do you feel about giving a portion of your hard earned money to someone who has grown comfortable with receiving monthly checks from the government (your money), so comfortable that he/she sees no need to get out and find a job? I am not talking about a single mother or a handicapped parent. I am talking about a healthy capable individual that is fully capable of working but is too lazy to. I do not believe in the idea that these people cannot find a job! There are plenty of jobs out there. These jobs may not be what one may desire or maybe not pay the salary one desires, but they are jobs one can survive on until a better one comes along. We have more than 10 million illegal immigrants that break the laws of our land and risk death for such jobs!

A Mother’s Question

A mother asked President Bush,

“Why did my son have to die in Iraq?”

Another mother asked President Kennedy,

“Why did my son have to die in Vietnam?”

Another mother asked President Truman,

“Why did my son have to die in Korea?”

Another mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt,

“Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima?”

Another mother asked President W. Wilson,

“Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France?”

Yet another mother asked President Lincoln,

“Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?”

And yet another mother asked President G. Washington,

“Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge?”

Then long, long ago, a mother asked…

“Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?”

The answers to all these are similar —

“So that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness and freedom.”

This was emailed to me with no author and I thought the magnitude and the simplicity were awesome ..

Love to All,

The Democratic Legacy

With the almost constant and obviously well rehearsed term of “culture of corruption” spewed out at almost every media event by the left wing Democrats, I decided to delve into the decades of democratic policies and their effect on history. While all of these Democratic Presidents had some positive effects on history, I chose to research their most blatant negative effects, which far outweigh any good they may have accomplished. I subscribe to the adage that one right does not make up for four years of wrongs.

While I am beginning with John F. Kennedy (1961-1963), I have no intention of degrading his presidency. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest presidents that ever lived. The only thing that I could say is that if he were alive today, he would be a Republican. There is no way that he would ever subscribe to the policies and practices of the present day Democrat Party. He was a conservative Democrat who believed in a strong military, or “Peace Through Strength”(Ronald Reagan, 1981-1989)
