Ain’t Hospitals Great?
I went into the hospital for a relatively simple surgical operation… to repair a torn rotator cuff. pre-admission testing went normally, admission was routine. The anesthesiologist injected something into my IV and stated that it would make me a bit woozy. This was around 10:45 AM. The next thing I know, I was waking up to the voice of the nurse asking me how I felt. This was around 3:45 PM. By 4:30 PM I was on my way out the door, headed home with all my prescriptions for pain. By Friday afternoon I had a terrible sinus infection, bronchial infection, constipation and a near total renal shutdown. I had terrible urges to urinate, but little or no flow. I stopped my pain medication after (like a complete fool) I read the side effects and call my doctor (several times) for new pain medication. I was finally able to get a response Friday evening and thank heaven for 24 hour pharmacies. Thinking “fool me once shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me” I decided to read the warnings pamphlet for the pain medication. BUMMER!! Stamped in big red letters on my pre-admission testing paperwork and the hospital computers was the words “aspirin sensitive” During admission, bright red straps were placed on my wrist and in bold black marker were the same words, “ASPIRIN SENSITIVE!” Lo and behold on the warnings pamphlet accompanying my new pain medication along with the same warnings as my previous medication concerning constipation and loss of renal flow was the statement “DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION IF YOU ARE ASPIRIN SENSITIVE!” Needless to say, I did not take it.
Dear Friends and Family,
On Thursday, March 23rd I will be visiting the hospital for surgery. It will be on an outpatient basis and I will hopefully be home the same day if everything goes as planned. The surgery will be to repair a torn muscle in my left shoulder. Recuperation will be 12 weeks. While this will be a minor inconvenience for me, it will spell real problems for you! As I will be incapacitated for the first 6 weeks with my left arm tied to my side, there will be nothing to do but mess around with my computer. This means that I will probably flood your email with article after article. It will give me a chance to catch up with everything that is in my head… and all my notes. I will apologize in advance for this behavior and ask for your patience. I will be back to my normal 12 hour day work schedule in a few months and you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
For those of my family and a few friends concerned, I do plan to read the Bible during this period. I know this will shock my family severely, but don’t get your hopes up yet. Your comments have made me realize one thing, before I can comment on the Bible; I must be very familiar with the Bible. Since I have never really set down and read the Bible since my teenage years, I feel I am not knowledgeable enough to refer to it. I will never be a radical religionist, as I feel that this is as much as a sin as any sinful act. God can spot a fake a millennium away! One must be true to ones heart and soul and let God be the judge at the Day of Judgment. Rest assured that I am slightly knowledgeable. Silly as it seems, I love to watch religious documentaries on TV and watch as many as I can. I don’t say this makes me an expert, but I can absorb and remember much more visually than I can by reading. Reading has been a problem for me since grade school as my mind cannot lock onto text and my comprehension goes completely out the window. If the entire bible were presented to me in video, I would be an expert in two or three sittings. Sorry, I’m rambling again. Any way, prepare for a flood of articles from me, and, of course, a prayer or two wouldn’t hurt.
Iraq & The Bible
1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq , was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
6. Isaac’s wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh – which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion’s den in Iraq !
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon, saw the “writing on the wall” in Iraq .
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The “Empire of Man” described in Revelation is called Babylon , which was a city in Iraq!
And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers . The name Iraq means country with deep roots.
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated in the Bible than Iraq.
And also… This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle, Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages…
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran (9:11) – For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!
UAE Port discussion
With all the fuss about the purposed administrative take over of 6 US ports, the left wing media and liberal Democrats don’t want you to know that Saudi Arabia has been controlling 9 US Ports since 1979 (http://www.sweetness-light.com/archive/meet-the-national-shipping-company-of-saudi-arabia/)!! I won’t even mention China!!
Shame on the left wing media
Shame on the Liberal Democrats
